Terms and Conditions for MAPS Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Training Program in Switzerland

0. Preliminaries

0.1 Program Organizer (“the organizer”): Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Training and Education Research Network (PATTERN).

0.2 The program: By registering for the MAPS Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Training Program (“the Program”), you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please review them carefully before applying.

1. Registration and Eligibility

1.1 Application Process: Applicants must submit an application form and a non-refundable CHF 50 application fee. Applications are processed only after fee receipt. The organizer will review applications and provide a response within two weeks of submission.

1.2 Eligibility Criteria: Participants must be licensed mental health professionals (e.g., therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists) or pursuing licensure, with clinical experience. Prior trauma-informed care training is preferred but not mandatory. Professionals not currently working in psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT) but intending to in the future are eligible. Participants must also have a sufficient level of English proficiency to engage with the Program’s materials and discussions, as all coursework and in-person training will be conducted in English.

1.3 International Participation: Individuals from all countries are eligible, provided they meet the criteria and can travel to the training location (Kientalerhof, Switzerland).

1.4 Acceptance: Registration is complete upon acceptance by the organizer and constitutes agreement to these Terms and Conditions.

1.5 Application deadline:The application deadline is 30th September 2025.

2. Program Overview

2.1 Structure: The Program includes self-paced online coursework (scheduled between 1st December 2025 and 15th January 2026) and a mandatory full-week in-person residency, scheduled on 16th – 23rd January 2026.

2.3 Certification: Successful completion, including full attendance at the in-person residency, is required for certification. Certification of attendance is granted at MAPS’ discretion based on meeting all Program requirements.

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Total Cost: The total cost consists of the Program fee and the application fee.

3.2 Program fee: 

• Early Bird: CHF 2,975 for the first 30 applicants accepted by June 30, 2025.

• Standard: CHF 3,500 for applicants accepted July 1 – September 30, 2025, or after the first 30 spots are taken.

3.3 Application fee: A non-refundable application fee of CHF 50 is due upon submission of the application. Applications will only be processed after the application fee has been received.

3.4 Accommodation: The Total Cost does not cover accommodation. Participants are responsible for arranging and funding their own lodging at Kientalerhof during in-person residencies.

3.5 Payment Schedule: 

• 50% or the full amount of Program fee due within 14 days of acceptance.

• Remaining 50% due by November 15, 2025.

If registering after November 15, 2025, the full program fee must be paid within 14 days of acceptance. Payment instructions will be provided in the acceptance letter.

3.6 Currency and Payment Method: All payments of the program fee must be made via bank transfer.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

4.1 Participant Cancellation: Refunds do not include the CHF 50 application fee and are subject to the following:

• By 31st July 2025: Full refund of the initial 50% payment.
• From 1st September 2025: No refund of the initial payment.
• Within 4 weeks of the starting date (1st December 2025): No refunds, except in documented medical emergencies, where a full or partial refund may be granted at the organizer discretion upon submission of medical documentation within 14 days of cancellation

4.2 Program Cancellation: If the organizer cancels the Program, participants will receive a full reimbursement of all payments made, except the application fee, processed within 30 days of the cancellation announcement.

5. Participation Requirements

5.1 Mandatory Attendance: The in-person residency is compulsory. Failure to attend  will result in ineligibility for certification, with no refund unless covered by the medical emergency exception in Section 4.1.

5.2 Completion of Self-Paced Coursework: Participants must complete all online coursework by January 15, 2026, prior to the in-person residency.

6. General Provisions

6.1 Program Modifications: The organizer reserves the right to modify the Program’s schedule, content, or location with reasonable notice. If changes prevent participation, a full refund will be offered per Section 4.2.

6.2 Liability: The organizer is not liable for travel costs, accommodation expenses, or personal losses incurred by participants.

6.3 Force Majeure: The organizer is not responsible for cancellations or delays due to events beyond its control (e.g., natural disasters, government regulations). 

6.4 Data Protection: Personal information submitted will be processed in accordance with Swiss data protection laws. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6.5 Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law. Disputes will be resolved under Swiss jurisdiction.
